PURPOSE:To decrease the wear arising from tape travelling so that the titled guide is made hardly magnetizable and to prevent the generation of the noise occurring in static electricity by using semiconductor ceramics, etc. and forming the same into a bar shape or cylindrical roller shape. CONSTITUTION:The guide 1 for tape travel is made into the cylindrical roller shape and is supported by a shaft body 2 freely rotatably with a video tape cassette or VTR apparatus. A ball bearing, etc. can be provided between the guide 1 and the shaft body 2 or the guide 1 can be directly attached in the form of the bar shape such as circular cylinder to the apparatus at need. Such guide for tape travel is composed of barium titanate, strontium titanate or calcium titanate semiconductor ceramics, etc., or the semiconductor ceramics, etc., which are combined with at least >=2 kinds among barium titanate, strontium titanate or calcium titanate ceramics and are made semiconductor.
