PURPOSE:To automate a work of searching and drawing out a thread-end so as to improve work efficiency and prevent a thread-layer from getting dirty by providing a thread-end drawing-out device which is placed on the way of a route for supplying thread-feed packages to a creel. CONSTITUTION:A disk-shaped tray T is carried by a round belt 504. When the tray is carried to the position of a thread-end drawing-out device 500, a shaft 511 used for elevating a package K's revolving means 505 rises, and also the tray T is raised and separated from the round belt 504 by rollers 514 supported by a plate 512 at the upper end of the shaft and provided in a plurality of places. Next, the shaft 511 is revolved, and the tray T as well as the package K on it are revolved. On an end-face Kb of the package K is provided a suction mouth 527 which is turnable toward a hollow shaft 526, and when the end of a thread is sucked into the mouth 527, it turns and comes to the position shown by a 2 dotted chain line, and with the revolution of the package K, the end position of the thread becomes Y1, Y2, is cut off with a cutter 528 and placed on an upper face Ka of the package. The package, in this state, is carried to a marshalling location.
