PURPOSE:To attain the matrix data updating processing at high speed by increasing the vector length that is processed collectively after conversion into a vector for the updating processing with the addition of the matrix element data in a vector calculation system. CONSTITUTION:A matrix element address control area 20 serves as a control table containing the members corresponding in 1:1 to each element of a matrix element memory area 2. Each of these members includes a column 22 for pointers against the corresponding elements of the area 2 and a column 23 for pointers against the corresponding members of an element value address memory area 4. The members of the area 20 are arranged according to the number of connection elements of each corresponding element and in the ascending order of these connection elements, for example. Then the pointer of a connection element number control area 21 designates the head member of a row of members corresponding to the same connection elements among those members of the area 20. Each member of the area 21 holds a pointer to the area 20 and those members of the area 21 equivalent to the maximum number of connection elements are arranged in the order corresponding to the array of the members of the area 20. |
