<p>PURPOSE:To make irregular sized copying paper discriminable, by installing such a device that outputs a first signal in relation to a copying paper regulating plate position and then a second signal when a fact that this regulating plate is situated in a position corresponding to the regular sized copying paper is detected. CONSTITUTION:When paper is housed in a housing part and a cross direction regulating plate 76 and a paper feed direction regulating plate 76a both are accorded with each other, sensors S1-S4 and S6-S12 are turned to on or off with paper size detecting sensors 86 and 86a and paper size detecting plates 82 and 82a. Here, if the paper is a regular size of A specifications, each sensor block of regular size detecting sensors 79 and 79a is situated at both sides of the specified regular size detecting plate 84 and comes on, whereby positioning pins 81 and 81a are fitted in holes 85 and 85a. On the other hand, if it is of irregular size, under the state that these regulating plates 76 and 76a are positioned, these pins 81 and 81a are not fitted in these holes 85 and 85a, and regular size detecting sensors 79 and 79a are turned off, discriminating the irregular size by means of a combination of each output of these sensors 86 and 86a.</p> |
