PURPOSE:To protect an internal mechanism and to prevent a power source from being consumed by driving a driving motor only when a lock means locks an interchangeable lens and a mode switching means is switched to an automatic focus adjustment mode. CONSTITUTION:The titled camera has the lock means 2 which locks the interchangeable lens at a specific position of a camera-body side lens motor 1, a power transmitting means 3 which couples the driving motor 32 for focus adjustment with the interchangeable lens side, an information input means 6 which inputs lens information on the interchangeable lens to a control circuit 41 controlling the driving motor 32, and the mode switching means 7 which switches the control circuit 41 to the automatic focus adjustment mode selectively. Only when the lock means 2 locks the interchangeable lens and information is inputted from an information input means 6 to select the automatic focus adjustment mode by the mode switching means 7, the control circuit 41 drives and controls the driving motor. If the interchangeable lens is not mounted normally, the automatic focus adjustment is interrupted to protect the internal mechanism and the power source is prevented from being consumed. |
