GLOW PLUG FOR DIESEL ENGINE

摘要

PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a glow plug for diesel engine having a self-temperature saturation rod-like heater by a method wherein the rod-like heater is composed of an electrical conductive metallic pipe and an electric conductive ceramic layer and the electrical conductive layer is electrically connected to the pipe and a holder. CONSTITUTION:A rod-like heater 11 is composed of a cylindrical electrical conductive metallic pipe 20 having a bottom part and an electrical conductive ceramic layer 2 formed with an insulation coating layer 21 at its outer circumference and then it is held at the extremity end of a holder 12. The electrical conductive layer 22 is electrically connected to a main body 20 of the pipe at the extremity end of the heater 11 and the other end is electrically connected to the extremity end of the holder 12. With this arrangement, the device can have rapid heating characteristic and self-temperature saturation characteristic and further can improve the reliability of a heat-resistant strength or the like.
