PURPOSE:To suppress an increase in the size of a device by providing an automatic original feeding device with a detecting means which detects the identification part of an original. CONSTITUTION:A photoelectric transducing means 174 consists of two CCD line sensors 174a and 174b arrayed closely in the conveyance direction of the original and is provided with filters fa and fb which differ in passing wavelength. The original is exposed by a light source 171 in the middle of the conveyance of the original and the light is guided to the sensors 174a and 174b. Their photoelectric transducing output signals are supplied to an A/D converter 192 through an amplifier 191 and transduced into digital signals, which are stored in a memory 194 through a DMA 193. The light source 171 is turned off and the sum of and difference between two kinds of information stored in the memory 194 are calculated; and the blue part in the original image is detected to detect the identification part 1D of the original. Consequently, when the discrimination 1D is present, a buzzer 196 sounds and the copying operation of the original G is stopped. Thus, a secret original is inhibited from being copied. |
