MULTICHANNEL PACKET RECEIVING SYSTEM

摘要

PURPOSE:To absorb fluctuation of time of arrival of a packet by controlling the read/write pointer of a buffer memory section having areas corresponding to channels. CONSTITUTION:A buffer memory section 1 has areas allotted to correspond to channels and data corresponding to channels are accumulated in the area corresponding to the channel. A read pointer generating section 2 generates a read pointer for reading data at a fixed period from the area corresponding to the channel of the buffer memory section 1. A write pointer generating section 3 generates a write pointer for writing arrived data of packet form in the area corresponding to the channel. An accumulation state supervising section 4 watches the quantity of data accumulated in the area corresponding to the channel of the buffer memory section 1 and controls the write pointer. Thus, fluctuation is absorbed to correspond to the channel.
