The subject of the invention is a periscopic sighting device associated with an object such as a gun 11 and comprising a sighting hub 2, at least one mirror 3 for deflecting the line of sight 20 into an aiming direction 21, which can be tilted about an axis 30 parallel to the pivot pin 01 of the gun and actuated from a control shaft 50 forced to rotate with the journals (pivots) 12 and through the same angle, by means of an articulated parallelogram system comprising two parallel cranks 61, 62 which have the same length and are respectively wedged one on the pivot pin 01 and the other on the pin 02 of the control shaft 50 and are connected by means of a connecting rod 6 and an aiming device 22 linked to an electronic data processing unit 4. According to the invention, the sighting device comprises permanent means of comparison between the length of the connecting rod, and the distance between the pivot pin and the pin of the control shaft and of formation of a signal corresponding , in terms of magnitude and sign, to the measured difference, and which can be taken into account in the processing unit in order to determine a corresponding aiming correction. <IMAGE>
