PURPOSE:To provide the title compsn. having excellent curability and a high water absorption ratio which does not change with time, consisting of a curable polyorganosiloxane and a specified (co)polymer. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. curable polyorganosilozane (A) obtd. by blending 100pts.wt. liquid polyorganosiloxane having a viscosity of 100-500,000cst at 25 deg.C, represented by the formula [wherein R is an (un)substituted monovalent hydrocabon group of OH group; a is 1-3] with 0-5pts.wt. crosslinking agent and/or curing catalyst (e.g., dibutyltin diacetate) is blended with a 0.5-200pts.wt. (co)polymer having an average particle size of 0.1-200mum, composed of at least 10wt% acrylic acid (alkali metal salt) or maleic acid unit or mixture thereof (B). The resulting mixture is kneaded at 100 deg.C while reducing the pressure of the reaction system. |
