PURPOSE:To eliminate the local overheat of a shell and continue safe operation by providing a control means for generating open and close signals for a regulator valve 11 to control heating steam fed from a main steam pipe to a reheater. CONSTITUTION:A primary reheater 9 and a secondary reheater 10 are built into the shell 1 of a humidity separation reheater. Heating steam is introduced from a main steam pipe 4 to the secondary reheater 10 via a regulator valve 11. A control device 15 is applied with the temperature signals of the inlet 6 and the outlet 7 of the shell 1 from temperature detectors 13 and 14. The control device 15 follows a load or a steam temperature fluctuation, and generates open and close signals for the regulator valve 11. In this way, the local overheat of the shell 1 is eliminated and highly reliable and safe operation can be continued.
