PURPOSE:To speed up the access of data from a microprocessor and to improve the hit ratio of a cache by converting an address to a physical address and retrieving a plural logical caches by the logical address. CONSTITUTION:When a reading request is transmitted to a memory part 4 from a microprocessor 1, a logical address converting part 2 executes a converting operation from the requested logical address to the physical address, and at the same time, a logical cache 3-1 executes the information retrieving operation. If the cache is hit after retrieving the logical cache 3-1, the data is transmitted from a logical cache 3 to the microprocessor 1. At this time, a memory access to the memory part 4 is inhibited by the physical address which has been converted by the address converting part 2. If the cache is mis-hit, a memory access to the memory part 4 is executed. Data read out of the memory part 4 is sent to the microprocessor 1 and loaded to the logical cache 3-1.
