PURPOSE:To obtain a high-sensitivity image forming material by providing a photosensitive resin prepd. by further introducing a photosensitive group into a polyester precursor contg. photosensitive unsatd. double bonds adjacent to an arom. nucleus and phenolic hydroxyl group onto a photosensitive layer. CONSTITUTION:The photosensitive resin obtd. by bringing the carboxylic acid monovalent compd. contg. the photosensitive unsatd. double bonds into reaction with the precursor consisting of a polyester or modified polyester (hereafter expressed as the precursor) is incorporated into the photosensitive layer. The precursor is produced by a method for deriving the same from, for example, the polyvalent carboxylic acid components contg. the dicarbon contg. the photosensitive unsatd. double bonds adjacent to the arom. nucleus and the dicarboxylic acid having the phenolic hydroxyl group or the derive. thereof and polyhydric alcohol components, etc. The photosensitive carboxylic acid monohydride compd. is exemplified by cinnamate chlorides, cinnamylidene acetate acid chlorides, etc. The image forming material which can be developed by an aq. alkaline developing soln. and is useful particularly as a photosensitive lithographic printing plate is thus obtd. |
