PURPOSE:To uniform accuracy when a satellite is tracked by detecting the stroke length of a screw jack which moves an antenna and varying the time of step driving for rotating an electric motor according to the level of the detection. CONSTITUTION:The driving device consists of the screw jack 2 constituting the driving part 7 for the antenna 5, the motor 3 which drives it, a detector 4 which detects the stroke length L of the jack 2 or the orientation angle thetaof the antenna 5, etc. Further, a step track device 8 controls the driving time of the motor 3 for each step of the jack 2 according to the output signal of the detector 4. Consequently, the one-step driving time corresponding to the stroke length L is set in the device 8 previously. Then, the stroke length L of the jack 2 or corresponding orientation angle theta is detected and then the driving time of rotation of the motor 3 is varied and adjusted according to the value. Therefore, the quantity of fine variation in the angle of the antenna 5 is made constant to obtain uniform tracking accuracy.
