PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure microorganisms with a high accuracy, by carrying out image processing of a fluorescent image of a test specimen containing the microorganisms and removing fluorescent images based on substances other than the measurement object. CONSTITUTION:Fluorescence emitted from a test specimen containing microorganisms when irradiating the test specimen with excitation light is obtained as image data, which are then subjected to image processing to remove fluorescence based on microorganisms or substances other than the measurement object microorganisms. The image processing is carried out by removing the above-mentioned fluorescence on the basis of a difference in size, shape or pattern of fluorescent images. The dichotomization threshold value of fluorescent intensity is preferably within the range of 70-230 when the gradation full scale is set at 256. |
