PURPOSE:To perform invariably accurate focus detection and to obtain a compact device by making one photodetection part for correction to include spectral sensitivity characteristics of the other. CONSTITUTION:A couple of monitor photodiodes PD13 and PD14 of the photosensor array S of a photodetection part RF for focus detection are arranged at a photoelectric conversion part 12 adjacently almost in parallel, spectral sensitivity characteristics of the PDs 13 and 14 are so determined that the PD 13 covers the visible light range and the PD 14 covers the infrared light range from the same visible light range with the array S, and the PDs 13 and 14 face the same object with through individual image re-forming lenses 4a and 4b. In this case, the spectral energy distribution of measurement light for focus detection is detected from output currents of the PDs 13 and 14. |
