PURPOSE:To reduce the thickness of a shell and reduce the stress of the shell due to a water pressure load without impairing the resistance propelling performance by forming the shell between longitudinal members of a ship in a recessed shape over the ship length. CONSTITUTION:A ship bottom shell 1a is formed in a recessed shape toward the inside of a ship between ship bottom longitudinal members 2a, and a ship side shell 1b is formed in a recessed shape toward the inside of the ship between ship side longitudinal members 2b like the ship bottom shell 1a. Accordingly, the thickness Tc of the shell can be made thin and the stress of the shell due to a water pressure load can be reduced by applying a recess with a radius R to the shell of the ship.
