PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of the titled device by processing a picture based on a signal that corresponds to one of the three primary colors of three rays of light which are a color picture signal. CONSTITUTION:A picture signal which is an output signal from a color ITV camera 1 is separated into three primary-color light signals which are a red- signal, a green-signal, and a blue-signal by a signal separator circuit 2. One of the said three signals is outputted to a picture processor 3, which processes a black-and-white picture which is obtained from the inputted signal. As a result, comparing with a case of processing all the color signals, the amounts of both softwares and hardwares can be drastically decreased.
