Armoured metal construction for a window or a door, composed of a door head frame 1 and of a casement 2, which are equipped on their outer side with armour plating 3 (against projectiles) made preferably from an aluminium alloy, the gap 4 formed between the door head frame 1 and the casement 2 being continued as far as the outer side of the plating 3, forming an opening 5, and a crossbeam 7 being contiguous to the gap 4 in the metal profile sections 6 of the door head frame 1 or of the casement 2. The opening 5 is essentially perpendicular to the plane of the window or of the door, and is placed at the height of the crossbeam 7, with the purpose of stopping the projectiles. <IMAGE>
