PURPOSE:To stably feed dust contg. reduced iron and to permit the control of the mixing ratio of the reduced iron and coke by feeding the dust contg. reduced iron in a reduction furnace by rotary feeders and mixing the same with the separately fed coke then charging the mixture via blow-through preventive valves into a gasifying furnace. CONSTITUTION:The reduced iron and dust formed by reducing the iron ore in the reduction furnace 6 by the reducing gas generated in the gasifying furnace 1 are fed by the rotary feeders 14A, 14B respectively provided to plural feeding ports 12A, 12B and are introduced into throwing ports 13A, 13B. On the other hand, the coke fed by a feeding device 16 is charged via distributing pipes into the throwing pipes 13A, 13B and is mixed with the reduced iron. The mixture is fed via the blow-through preventive valves 19 into charging ports 2A, 2B from which the mixture is charged into the gasifying furnace 1 to produce the pig iron. The reduced iron is thereby stably fed together with the dust and is evenly charged into the gasifying furnace 1; in addition, the mixing ratio of the reduced iron and the coke is controlled.
