PURPOSE:To successively obtain an alloyed hot dip galvanized steel sheet by hot dip galvanizing not accompanied by alloying and hot dip galvanizing accompanied by alloying, by adding a prescribed percentage of Ti to a molten Zn bath for hot dip galvanizing not accompanied by alloying so as to lower the concn. of Al and to accelerate an alloying reaction. CONSTITUTION:A steel sheet is dipped in a molten Zn bath to obtain an unalloyed hot dip galvanized steel sheet. An alloying reaction is accelerated by adding 0.001-0.5wt% Ti to the bath and an alloyed hot dip galvanized steel sheet is obtd. Zn is then added to the bath without adding Ti. Thus, an alloyed hot dip galvanized steel sheet is successively obtd.
