With the aid of sheet-like, dimensionally stable structural elements (1) according to the invention which are provided with cutouts (5) and predetermined breaking points (2), manhole continuous footings can be produced in that said structural elements - or the structural-element parts resulting therefrom by breaking at the predetermined breaking points - are laid one upon the other, such that they are offset with respect to one another in a horizontal direction, in order to leave free at least one line through-passage, and the cavities formed by the cutouts (5) are filled with concrete or mortar, and the structural elements (1), or structural-element parts, laid one upon the other are thus connected to form continuous-footing parts. The finished covering (7) of the manhole continuous footing is formed by coating on site. <IMAGE>
