PURPOSE:To adjust the size of a resource and to eliminate the mapping to a logical address space of a two page unit by allocating the resource which extends over the continuous pages from the top of the next page. CONSTITUTION:Resources 18 and 19 are allocated from the top of page 16, a resource 20 is allocated from the top of page 17 so as not to extent over pages 16 and 17, and a resource 21 is allocated so that it will continue to the resource 20. When a request for the access of the resource 21 is generated, a resource control table 22 is indexed by a resource number 23 in the resource 21, page 17 belonging to the resource 21 and an in-page relative address 24 are obtained, and the resource 21 is accessed by page 17 and the in-page relative address 24.
