<p>A linkage for transmitting torque includes a stationary member (14), a movable member (16) rotatably mounted to the stationary member, an input link (20) having one end (30) rotatably mounted to the stationary member (14) and an unrestrained end (38) connected to a linear actuator (26, 60) and a coupler link (24). The coupler link (24) is connected to the unrestrained end (38) of an output link (22), preferably integral to the movable member (16). The moment applied to the input link (20) by the linear actuator (26, 60) is transferred through the coupler link to the output link, or movable member. The angle of rotation of the output link (22) is greater than the angle of rotation of the input link (20).</p> |
