An installation for separating the two parts of split clinkers is described, with a transport device which supplies the split clinkers in the vertical position, furthermore with a separating device which consists of a pressure strip fixed to a vertically movable support and acting on one part of a split clinker and is movable during the separating process synchronously with the split clinkers, furthermore with a transport device which discharges the separated clinker parts with the exposed face upwards, and also with a device which supports the separated clinker parts and transfers them into the horizontal position and which contains suction nozzles which engage on the exposed face of the clinker parts. In this arrangement, the separating device is assigned a conveying device having two conveying paths, one conveying path, which is aligned with the pressure strip, being resiliently supported, whereas the other conveying path is rigidly supported, and the suction nozzles being capable of being moved to and fro between the region of the separating device and the transport device parallel thereto and discharging the separated clinker parts and also being pivotable downwards through 90 DEG for the parallel depositing of the clinker parts on the discharging transport device.
