The gas-tight universal valve is a combination valve which is not restricted to a particular pressure medium or pressure and remains gas-tight for an unlimited period of use. The combination valve has a basic block of 2-way configuration. When connected up to 2 or more valves of the same construction, size and configuration, it allows modular-type expansion from the 2-way configuration to 3-, 4- and 5-way configuration. It can be operated either manually, electromagnetically or by a fluid medium. The gas-tight universal valve is suitable both for single-acting and double-acting cylinders and, in particular, for positioning cylinders. It can likewise be used for fluid motors with or without a positioning function. On the basis of a basic block and utilising all possible variations for interconnection, the gas-tight universal valve allows all control tasks which arise in the fluid systems sector to be carried out in a technically simple and inexpensive manner.
