PURPOSE:To enable a motor to be surely controlled by controlling rotation of the motor by an output signal of a receptor element received by projecting light from a slit end of a rotor and receiving the projected light from a slit end of a rotating shaft or by projecting and receiving light in the opposite direction. CONSTITUTION:A slit 9 cut from the outer periphery of a motor rotor 8 toward the shaft center of a rotating shaft 2 and a slit 9' cut axially of the shaft center of said shaft 2 are connected to each other and a photoconductor is penetrated or injected into these slits 9, 9' to provide an encoder. Rotation of the motor is controlled by an output signal of a receptor element received by projecting light from the slit end of the rotor 8 and receiving the projected light from the slit end of said shaft 2 or by projecting and receiving light in the opposite direction. |
