PURPOSE:To eliminate dust generated inside a device, and to prevent a head from crashing by constituting an air flow path between a base and a housing which support a spindle and a head driving part (carriage), and a cover, arranging a filter within the air flow path. CONSTITUTION:When a carriage 14 is moved in a seek time, since a guide rail 6 and the outer ring of a bearing 7 are brought into contact and moved, the dust from the outer ring of the bearing, or the scattering of a bearing grease, even when it is generated, is eliminated with a filter 19 in an air cycling path (a). The cleaned up air is cleaned up again with a filter 21 arranged at a spindle 15 side. In this way, the dust, etc., generated inside the device can be eliminated certainly, and is prevented from mixing to a disk 9, thereby the head being prevented from crashing.
