PURPOSE:To make changeover between manual and automatic operations possible by extending one side of an operation shaft so that manual operation is possible and connecting the other side via a clutch to an operation motor. CONSTITUTION:An operation shaft 5 of an HST 1 for changing driving speeds is extended on both sides with one side connected to an operation stick 7 and with the other side provided with a clutch claw 8. Accordingly, when manual operation is performed, the operation stick is actuated by manipulating a manual operation lever 6. Then when changing over to automatic operation, while an automatic switch 14 is closed by manipulating a changeover lever 13, a changeover clutch 12 is made to engage with a clutch claw 8. Then a control motor is driven with an automatic control device receiving a signal from a load sensor so that speed is changed by the turn of the operation shaft 5 via a speed reduction device 11.
