PURPOSE:To reduce time for inspection per track by period of one rotation of a magnetic disk by providing two level signal generating circuits. CONSTITUTION:Two peak value signals G, H and two timing signals, E, F are inputted to a minimum value signal generating circuit 4, and the circuit holds a value that makes the absolute value minimum, and outputs minimum value level signals J in order. An average value level signal generating circuit 7 multiplies cumulative average value signals from an operational amplifier 6 by, for instance, a specified coefficient, and outputs average value signals K successively. A comparator 8 compares the minimum value level signal J and average level signal K, and when the minimum level signal J is smaller, outputs a pulse or level that indicates NG.
