The invention relates to a leakage water monitoring system for a liquid-cooled device (2), in particular an H.V. installation, having a closed cooling system (14). According to the invention, a liquid coolant feed (8) and a liquid coolant outlet (10) are provided in each case with a flow detector (16) downstream of which there is connected a processing circuit (22) which forms a difference value, and an output (24) of the processing circuit (22) is connected to a warning device (30). The output (24) of the processing circuit (22) is driven as a function of a prescribed limiting value. This results in a leakage water monitoring system which can be used to detect even relatively small leaks or leaky sites quickly and reliably without a time delay. <IMAGE>
