PURPOSE:To miniaturize a levitationary electromagnet provided on a movable body by providing a means to give the auxiliary levitationary force. CONSTITUTION:The primary coils C1 and C2 of a linear motor M0 are installed in the longitudinal direction of the guide of a movable body at the bottom wall 2a of a main body 2. A duct 4 is provided so as to exhaust the air for levitation as an auxiliary levitationary force upwards in the setpoint of the primary coils C1 and C2 and in the predetermined range towards the traveling direction of the movable body. The secondary conductor 8 of the linear motor M0 is installed to the movable body in the position facing the primary coils C1 and C2. At the lower part of a frame, a pressure-receiving surface R1 as a force-receiving element R is formed against an auxiliary levitationary force giving means W. Thus, without increasing the weight of the movable body, a high thrust force can be generated to the movable body.
