PURPOSE:To provide no sense of fatigue of an eye at all by making a characteristic of a polarizing film conform with the respective astigmatism axes of a nearsighted or farsighted lens. CONSTITUTION:A polarizing film 3 which is cut to a size being roughly equal to an aperture of a lens, and to which a surface treatment has been executed or an adhesive agent is applied is placed on the convex surface of an adhesive agent is applied is placed on the convex surface of a glass lens 1 (an astigmatism lens in case of the inside surface astigmatism) for forming the concave surface of a polarizing lens, by making a light beam transmission axis of the polarizing film conform with an astigmatism axis of an astigmatism lens, in case of a polarizing lens provided with a degree of astigmatism for nearsightedness, and by making a light beam absorbing axis of the polarizing film conform with the astigmatism axis of the astigmatism lens, in case of a polarizing lens provided with a degree of astigmatism for farsightedness. Subsequently, a polarizing lens provided with a degree of astigmatism, made of glass is obtained by placing a glass lens 2 for forming the convex surface of the polarizing lens, on said film and welding it by pressure, and a polarizing lens provided with a degree of astigmatism, made of glass is obtained. In such a way, fatigue of an eye can be reduced.
