PURPOSE:To obtain a constant shift time by arranging both a high load range and a low load range on a shift schedule determined by both vehicle speeds and throttle opening ratios and using an exhaust power brake when engine revolutions decrease due to a gear shift in the high load range. CONSTITUTION:During shift operation, fuel injection amount is varied by changing opening ratios of a governer relative to revolutions of an output shaft 29, thereby controlling revolutions of a sub-shaft 30 and setting gears when they synchronizes with each other. And dividing a shift schedule into a high and low load ranges, and exhaust power brake is used during the high load period. This makes it possible to increase revolution reduction rate and to shorten the shift time. During the low load period on the other hand, the exhaust power brake is not used to make it possible to reduce noise. |
