PURPOSE:To improve glass sealing properties by forming an oxide layer to the surface of a section to be sealed with glass in a nonoxide group ceramic substrate. CONSTITUTION:An oxide layer 10 is shaped to the surface of a section sealed with glass in a nonoxide group ceramic substrate 9. A lead frame 5 is fixed onto the oxide layer 10 by low melting-point glass 4. Since the main component and accessory constituent of the glass 4 consist of an oxide, such as PbO, B2O3, SiO2, etc., at that time, the glass 4 has excellent affinity with the oxide layer 10, thus resulting in firm sealing. Accordingly, glass sealing properties are improved. |
