<p>PURPOSE:To make it possible to grind almost only the film of a resistor and to perform trimming readily by adding abrasive grains to synthetic high polymer resin to form a string and by dispersing and sticking the abrasive grains to the interior and surface of the string. CONSTITUTION:A film resistor 21 is clutched by chucks 22 and 22', and transferred axially being rotated, and an abrasive string 20 is also left running along a guide roller 23 at a specified speed being given specified tension. And when the guide roller holder 24 to which the guide roller 23 is held in this condition is shifted a specified quantity toward the film resistor 21 to push the abrasive string 20 against the film resistor 21, the abrasive string 20 trims the film of the resistor spirally. In such manner, shallow grooves 25 are made on the surface of the resistor with the surface ground almost only the film 26 of the resistor, and the surface of the insulator 27 of the resistor is also removed so shallowly that the temperature of ground portions may be hardly raised and thermal stress may not be given to the resistor. As a result, the measuring error in adjusting the value of the resistor will not occur.</p> |
