<p>A figure drawing system is provided with a line segment generating means to draw a figure using line segments that consist of alternating repetition of a bright point having a given number of bits and a blank. The figure drawing apparatus comprises: a counter which sets the length of a long axis of a line segment for each start of the line segment, and which counts down the content in response to a distribution pulse of the line segment; a comparator which checks the content of the counter and generates an output when the content falls below a predetermined value; and an OR circuit which adds up the output of the comparator and the output of the line segment generating means, and generates data of the line segment. According to the figure drawing system of the present invention, a blank at the terminal portion of the line segment is forcibly rewritten into a bright point when the remaining length obtained by substracting the length of the line segment that is drawn from a given length becomes shorter than the length of the blank portion. Therefore, the connection portion of one line segment and another line segment consists necessarily of a bright point, and vertexes of a polygon formed by connecting many line segments do not become ambiguous.</p> |
