PURPOSE:To attain the generation of power even in case a room is darkened and the key digits and the liquid crystal display state of an electronic calculator are projected by means of an overhead projector, by providing the solar batteries on the front and back faces of the calculator. CONSTITUTION:An electronic calculator 1 contains a transparent keyboard part 2 where key digits 3 are displayed together with a tranmissive liquid crystal display device 4 set at the upper part of the part 2. In addition, the solar batteries 5 are provided on the front and back faces of the calculator main body. In such a constitution, the power can be generated by means of a light source set at the side of an overhead projector and the battery 5 set on the back side of the calculator 1 even in case a room is darkened and the calculator 1 is set on the projector for projection of the key digits and the liquid crystal display state. Furthermore a clear liquid crystal display is secured in a normal application mode by storing a reflecting plate 8 into a store part 9 formed at the lower side of the device 4.
