In a rope clamp, consisting of a clamping body which is open at both ends, accommodates the rope and has a roughly rectangular cross-section and a nut arranged in the interior of the clamping body and serving to clamp the rope, the front wall of the clamping body has an obtuse-angled cut-out, extending up to the free ends of the front wall, for inserting the rope into the clamping body, the cut-out boundaries which run at an angle being remote from the clamping-body part intended for accommodating the rope, and the nut is of curved design on the side facing the rope to be clamped and is rotatably mounted on a pivot, the nut being held in the effective position by means of a helical spring. |
