PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material superior in color development performance and photostability by incorporating a pyrazolotriazole type magenta coupler in a silver halide emulsion layer and a color-nondeveloping phenolic compound in some layer, and storing the photographic sensitive material under a relative humidity of <=55%. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photographic sensitive material composed of at least one silver halide emulsion layer contains the pyrazolotriazole type magenta coupler in the silver halide emulsion and, in the emulsion layer and/or a hydrophilic colloidal layer the color-nondeveloping phenolic compound represented by the formula shown on the right in which each of R<1> and R<2> is 1-20C straight or branched alkyl or such cycloalkyl, and the total C number of them is 6-24, and n is 0-3. This photosensitive material is stored under a relative humidity of <=55%, thus permitting color development performance and photostability to be enhanced and proper packaging to be executed. |
