SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE MATERIAL

PURPOSE:To improve sharpness and fog resistance by incorporating a pyrazolotriazole type magenta coupler and a polymer latex in a silver halide photographic sensitive material composed of silver halide emulsion layers and nonphotosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layers. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photographic sensitive material composed of at least one silver halide emulsion layer and at least one nonphotosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layer contains the pyrazolotriazole type magenta coupler. The silver halide emulsion layer containing said coupler and/or the nonphotosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layer contains the polymer latex, such as a polymethyl methacrylate latex, obtained by polymerizing an ethylenically unsaturated monomer. The presence of said latex in the photographic constituent layer permits pressure fogging to be prevented and sensitivity to be enhanced.
