PURPOSE:To enable a beginner so use the titled device safely by forming an output means for outputting an alarm signal when a range up to a subject is a read limit photographing range or less and an alarm means for generating an alarm based on an alarm signal outputted from the output means. CONSTITUTION:When a telescopic range or a wide range is selected by a change-over switch 4, a CPU2 reads the state of the switch 4 and inputs a selecting signal for a telescopic or wide range to a lens moving device 3 to set up the telescopic/wide range of an objective lens. When a release switch of a camera body 1 is turned on, a half-depression signal is inputted to the CPU2 at the time of half-depression status and a range finding command is generated to a range finding device 5, so that the range up to the subject is measured and the range finding signal is inputted to the CPU2. The CPU2 stores the range finding value R inputted from the device 5 in a memory device 6, reads out the state of the switch 4 to decide the selection of telescopic or wide range, and when the telescopic range is selected, compares a blurring limit photographing range l1 at the time of telescopic range with the stored range finding value R. When l1>=R is formed, an alarm signal is outputted to an alarm device 7 to generate an alarm. |
