PURPOSE:To obtain a slurry of a solid fuel-oil slurry having low viscosity and containing solid fuel stably dispersed in a hydrocarbon oil in high concentration, by adding a slurry of ultrafine powder to a solid-hydrocarbon oil slurry and disintegrating the slurry mixture with a wet ball mill. CONSTITUTION:A part of a solid fuel-hydrocarbon oil slurry produced by pulverizing and mixing with a wet ball mill is optionally diluted with a hydrocarbon oil and passed through a continuous stirring wet pulverizer to obtain an ultrafine solid fuel-hydrocarbon oil slurry having a particle size distribution wherein the fraction of ultrafine particles of <=10mum diameter is >=50wt%. The ultrafine slurry is added to the above wet ball mill and subjected to wet disintegration together with the solid fuel and the hydrocarbon oil to obtain the objective solid fuel-oil slurry.
