Novel thienooxazines of the formula <IMAGE> in which R1 and R2, together with the adjacent C atoms, represent an optionally substituted thiophene ring, R3 represents hydrogen, optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl or aryl, and R4 represents optionally substituted alkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl or aryl, or R3 and R4, together with the adjacent nitrogen atom, form a saturated heterocyclic structure which may optionally contain further hetero atoms, promote the yield of animals, e.g. rate of growth, ratio of meat to fat, etc. They are made from new intermediates of the formulas <IMAGE> and <IMAGE> in which R5 and R6 may be hydrogen or various organic radicals, or together form a ring. |
