PURPOSE:To reduce memory data during a display of a successive picture by dividing the successively displayed picture into a fixed part and a varying part and synthesizing by performing a transfer control, a memory change over control and an address control. CONSTITUTION:Corresponding to three memory elements 10-1-10-1''' for storing the varying part of a picture memory 10 of a picture controller 1 an a memory 10-2 for storing the fixed part, three memories 20-1-20-1''' for a varying part of a picture memory 20 and a memory 20-2 for storing a fixed part are provided. After the transfer relating to the memories 10-1-10-1''' for storing the data of the varying part is completed, and MPU11 transfers the data of the memory 10-2 for storing the data of the fixed part, thereafter, an enlargement processing circuit 24 executes an enlargement processing and overlaps the picture data of the varying part on the picture data of the fixed part in a synthesizing processing part 25. Thereby, the data of the fixed part is not required to provide in all picture memories and the picture data can be formed, transferred and displayed at high speed.
