PURPOSE:To restore a composite color video signal to a precise information amount by performing interpolation between sampling data of both pseudo component signals of the current line and a line which is one field of 2H before, and then performing A/D conversion and restoring the original composite color video signal. CONSTITUTION:A RAM 33 extracts one data each from respective groups A, B, C, and D in order with the current digital data and digital data which consists of data of the groups B and D for each H and is one field (256H) before, and respective data are read out to a D/A converter 34 in the order of (A1B1C1D1A2B2C2D2...) in a 1H (one horizontal scanning) period. Thus, field interpolation is performed by the digital data of the current line and line which is one field before, so that the composite color video signal of the current line is restored almost completely.
