PURPOSE:To lighten the gear changing operations, by setting a stopper member projected from the outer circumferential surface of a gear shift drum, a member adapted to energize this stopper member, and a member adapted to regulate the projecting quantity of the stopper member, and forming a recess on a fork shift, for receiving the stopper member therein. CONSTITUTION:A stopper member 7 is provided with a spring 7c to be set in a guide hole 2c formed in a gear shift drum 2 along its bore, a ring 7b caulked at the top of the guide hole 2c, and a ball 7a projected from the outer circumferential surface of the gear shift drum 2, and this ball 7a projecting quantity is regulated. In this constitution, in only the neutral position, the ball 7a of the stopper member 7 fits in the recess 8 of a fork shift 4, and neutral positioning is performed. In positions other than the neutral position, as the ball 7a is out of contact with the fork shift 4 and other members, the gear shift drum 2 is not loaded by the spring 7c. Accordingly, the gear changing operations in other than the neutral position, are lightened.
