PURPOSE:To facilitate the change in the range of a displayed original in a short time by displaying the still picture of a designated range by a control data on the display screen of a reception side terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION:The still picture read by an original read section 6 is stored in a transmission picture memory 41 at first. The still picture stored in the memory 41 is sent to the reception side terminal equipment and stored in a reception memory 42 at the reception side terminal equipment. The display control section 43 corrects the aspect ratio of the size of the still picture to apply the compression/extension of the data of the still picture. As the method of the extension, the method exists, when the same data is displayed as that of preceding line at every certain interval. Further, the still picture of the original read by the original read section 6 is stored in the memory 41, a selector switch 13 selects the original read section 6, a selection switch 14 selects the selection switch 44 and the selection switch selects the selection switch 14 respectively.
