PURPOSE:To cut off transmission when a holding tone is sent and to perform one-touch operation with one hand by providing a melody circuit, a battery, and plural switches in a handset. CONSTITUTION:Interlocking switches S1, S2, and S3, the battery B, a speaker SP, and the melody circuit 2 are provided in the handset. When a switch for sending the holding tone is turned on, the handset is disconnected by the switch S1 and a melody is sent through the switches S2 and S3. Consequently, the operativity is good and transmission is cut off while the holding tone is sent.
