摘要 |
PURPOSE:To form fine glass particle deposited material having uniform bulk density on a starting material, by piling glass fine particles on the tip of the rotating starting material and transferring a burner and the starting material relatively in the direction parallel to the rotating shaft of the starting material tat an early stage before the deposited material reaches a desired outer diameter. CONSTITUTION:A glass raw material is fed to oxyhydrogen flame 4 and hydrolyzed. As fine glass particles formed by the hydrolysis are deposited and piled on the tip of a rotating starting raw material 1, the deposited material is grown in the direction of the rotating shaft of the starting material 1 to give a cylindrical glass fine particle deposited material 3. In the operation, at an early state before the fine glass particles start deposition on the tip of the starting raw material 1 and the outer diameter of the deposited material becomes steady, the starting material 1 and the oxyhydrogen flame 4 are relatively transferred in the direction parallel to the rotating shaft of the starting material 1. |
